Terabyte B.V., trading as ReMarkt
Last updated: 20 August 2026
In these return conditions we explain how you can return an order placed via www.remarkt.co.uk or with a delivery address in the United Kingdom for a refund, exchange, repair or warranty, and how we process your return.
Article 1 – Return period
- As a consumer in the United Kingdom, you can register a purchase for cancellation within 15 calendar days of receipt. The period begins on the day after you, or a third party designated by you who is not the carrier, received the product. This ReMarkt period does not affect any longer mandatory statutory period.
- After registering your return, you have a further 15 calendar days to send the product back.
- The total return period is only a maximum of 30 calendar days if you register the return on the fifteenth day after receipt. If you register the return earlier, the second period of 15 calendar days also begins earlier.
- The dispatch date counts as the return date. Therefore keep the proof of postage and the tracking details until your return has been fully processed.
- Does an order consist of several products that are delivered separately? Then the return period begins on the day after you received the last product.
- Does a period end on a Saturday, Sunday or a generally recognised public holiday? Then the period is extended up to and including the next working day.
- Within the cancellation period, you do not need to give a reason if you return the product because you have changed your mind or your expectations have changed.
- A request relating to repair, warranty, a defective product or a damaged, incorrect or incomplete delivery is not automatically limited to this period of 15 plus 15 calendar days.
- You can register your return within the stated period via the returns portal of www.remarkt.co.uk.
Article 2 – Return options
- Refund. You can send a product back for a refund within the applicable return period. The refund is made in accordance with Article 8.
- Exchange. You can request a different product or a different version. A direct exchange is not possible, because ReMarkt is an online shop and must first receive and inspect the original product.
- Repair or warranty. Does the product have a defect or does it not work as you may reasonably expect? Then you can submit a repair or warranty request. Your statutory rights are not automatically limited to the normal return period.
- Damaged, incorrect or incomplete delivery. Have you received a damaged, incorrect or incomplete product? Then report this using the correct return reason. In that case, the necessary costs of the appropriate solution are not at your expense.
- Refurbished products and offers. Refurbished products and discounted products can also be returned where the right to cancel or another statutory or agreed return option applies.
- When submitting your request, select the return reason and the desired handling via the returns portal of www.remarkt.co.uk. This allows us to handle your return according to the correct procedure.
Article 3 – Submitting a return request
- Register a request for a refund, exchange, repair, warranty or a damaged, incorrect or incomplete delivery via the returns portal of www.remarkt.co.uk.
- Did you place the order from your ReMarkt account? Then open the order concerned in your account and select the available return option.
- Did you order as a guest? Then use the order number and the e-mail address with which the order was placed to submit the request via the returns portal.
- Is the order not recognised automatically? Then contact our customer service and quote your order number. A guest order can be linked to a new account if the same e-mail address is used for both.
- After registering, you will immediately receive an automatic confirmation that the request has been received. This is not always the final return instruction yet. Return requests are checked and approved on working days. After processing, you will receive the correct instructions.
- When submitting your request, select the return reason and the desired handling. For an exchange, we will discuss the desired product, its availability and any price difference after the original product has been received and inspected.
- For a cancellation, you can also use the cancellation button in your account, the model cancellation form or another unambiguous written statement. The date on which you notify us of the cancellation remains decisive, even if the internal assessment takes place later.
- For a cancellation, you do not need to give a reason. For a repair, warranty request or report of damage, an incorrect delivery or missing parts, we do ask for a clear description and, where necessary, photos.
Article 4 – Sending a product back
- After registering, wait for the processed return instructions and follow the shipping method stated in them.
- Send the product back as complete as possible, including the accompanying adapter or charger, cables, stands, manuals, accessories and any promotional products supplied with it.
- Preferably use the original product packaging if you still have it. The absence of the original packaging does not automatically mean that we will refuse your return or that your statutory rights lapse.
- Place the product in a sturdy shipping box and use sufficient protective material. Make sure that the product and its parts cannot move freely in the box.
- Protect fragile parts, such as screens, corners and ports, with extra care.
- For laptops, use the supplied sleeves or similar protection where possible. Monitors and other screens must be sufficiently protected on all sides against knocks and pressure.
- Remove or cover old shipping labels. Do not stick the return label directly on the product or on the original product packaging.
- State the return number clearly with the shipment so that we can register your return correctly.
- Before dispatch, take photos of the product, the accessories and the packaging. Keep the proof of postage and the tracking information until the return has been fully processed.
- Does new damage occur during the return shipment because the product was insufficiently packaged? Then, to the extent permitted by law, the demonstrable diminished value may be deducted. ReMarkt does not charge a fixed penalty for this.
- A pallet shipment or a large or heavy product may not be sent back as a normal parcel without prior consultation. Follow the return instructions and the pallet policy for this.
Article 5 – Personal data and account security
- Before returning, make a back-up of all data you wish to keep. During inspection, repair or replacement, it may be necessary to reset the device, reinstall the software or replace a storage device.
- Where possible, remove personal files, saved passwords, browser data and personal accounts from the device.
- Sign out of Microsoft, Apple, Google and other personal accounts and remove activation locks, device security and features such as 'Find My Device'.
- Remove SIM cards, memory cards, USB sticks and external storage devices. ReMarkt is not responsible for loose storage devices that are unintentionally sent along.
- Never share the password of your personal account. Is access to the device required for the inspection? Then preferably create a temporary local test account.
- Does the device use the standard local ReMarkt account and has no password been set for it? Then leave the password field in the return request blank.
- Are you unable to delete data, sign out of an account or disable an activation lock because of the defect? Then state this clearly in the return request.
- ReMarkt only views or processes data on a returned product to the extent necessary for the inspection and handling of the request, and does so in accordance with the privacy policy.
- ReMarkt is not responsible for preserving or recovering data of which no back-up has been made, except where ReMarkt is liable for this by law.
- Returning a device on which data is still present does not give ReMarkt permission to use this data for other purposes.
Article 6 – Cost of returning
- Are you returning a product because you have changed your mind or because the product does not meet your personal expectations? Then the direct cost of sending it back is at your expense.
- You may choose your own carrier for this. We advise sending valuable or fragile products with tracking and sufficient insurance.
- Do you opt for a paid return label from ReMarkt? Then the costs are shown or communicated to you before use. The agreed amount can be paid with your consent or deducted from the refund.
- Is there a damaged, incorrect or incomplete delivery, or a valid warranty or conformity request? Then ReMarkt bears the necessary return costs.
- Do not incur unnecessarily high return costs without consultation. ReMarkt reimburses reasonable costs that are necessary for the return concerned.
- Does an investigation show that there is no defect covered by the warranty or by your statutory rights (legal guarantee of conformity)? Then ReMarkt will contact you before any investigation, repair or shipping costs are charged.
- For large, heavy or pallet-delivered products, separate transport may be required. In the event of a cancellation, the direct costs of this may be at your expense. We will communicate the amount or a reasonable estimate in advance.
- After consultation and approval, you can also drop off a return at our premises by appointment. In that case, you pay no shipping costs. ReMarkt has no physical store.
- We do not charge any administration, handling or inspection fees for handling a valid cancellation. However, a legally permitted diminished value or missing parts may affect the amount to be refunded.
- The refund of the original shipping costs is handled in accordance with Article 8. A return from the United Kingdom to the Netherlands may require export and customs documents. Therefore always follow the return and customs instructions provided by ReMarkt. Incorrect or missing documents may delay receipt and processing.
Article 7 – Receipt and inspection of your return
- Does the carrier indicate that your return has been delivered? Then it may take a further 24 to 48 hours before the shipment is registered in our system. During weekends and public holidays, this may take slightly longer.
- After registration, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail or the return status will be updated.
- We check, among other things, the product, the serial number, the return reason, the selected quality grade, completeness, the accessories supplied, visible signs of use, damage, possible transport damage and any account or activation locks.
- For a repair or warranty request, additional technical investigation may be required. This may extend the processing time.
- During the cooling-off period, you may inspect and assess a product in the same way as would be possible in a physical shop.
- Have you used the product more than was necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning? Then ReMarkt may, to the extent permitted by law, deduct the demonstrable diminished value.
- Are parts missing, or has new damage occurred due to insufficient return packaging? Then the actual diminished value may be deducted. ReMarkt explains any deduction and uses photos to substantiate it where possible.
- Do we receive a different product from the one registered, or do we notice another irregularity? Then we will contact you to discuss how to proceed.
- ReMarkt does not destroy or sell an unexpectedly received product and does not send it back at your expense without prior consultation.
- The internal registration or inspection of your return does not change the statutory refund period.
Article 8 – Refund
- In the event of a valid cancellation, we will refund the amount due as soon as possible and no later than 14 days after receipt of your cancellation notification.
- ReMarkt may withhold the refund until the product has been received or until you provide evidence that you have sent the product back, whichever is earlier.
- Are you cancelling the entire order? Then you will receive the purchase price and the cost of the cheapest standard delivery offered by ReMarkt back.
- Did you choose a more expensive delivery method than the cheapest standard delivery? Then ReMarkt is not required to refund the price difference.
- Are you returning only part of the order? Then the original shipping costs are normally not refunded.
- The direct return costs are not refunded where they are at your expense under Article 6. Did you opt for a paid return label from ReMarkt? Then the amount agreed in advance may be deducted from the refund.
- A legally permitted and demonstrable diminished value or missing parts may be deducted from the refund. ReMarkt will explain any deduction to you.
- The refund is made via the same payment method used to pay for the order. A different payment method is only used with your consent and involves no additional costs for you.
- Did you pay via Klarna, Riverty or another pay later provider? Then the refund or correction is processed via the payment service provider concerned.
- A shipment that has been refused at the door or is returned to ReMarkt after cancellation is first received and inspected via the normal returns process.
- After ReMarkt has made the refund, it may take several working days before the bank or payment service provider visibly processes the amount.
- You will receive a confirmation as soon as the refund has been made by ReMarkt.
Article 9 – Exchanges
- Select exchange in the return request and state which product or which specifications you would like.
- A direct exchange is not possible. The original product must first be received, registered and inspected by ReMarkt.
- Because ReMarkt sells refurbished products, we cannot guarantee that the same model, the same configuration or the same quality grade is still available.
- The desired product is not automatically reserved when you request an exchange.
- Is the desired product not available? Then we will discuss a different product, a refund or another suitable solution with you.
- Is the replacement product cheaper? Then we will refund the price difference. Is the replacement product more expensive? Then the price difference must be paid before dispatch.
- For a voluntary exchange, any additional shipping costs will be discussed with you in advance. No additional shipping costs are charged for an exchange due to an error by ReMarkt, an incorrect delivery or a valid warranty or conformity request.
- Would you like to have a different product sooner? Then you can place a new order and register the original product separately for a refund.
- We aim to process an exchange within one to two weeks of receipt and registration of the returned product. Processing may take longer if the desired product is not immediately available or requires additional inspection.
- Your statutory rights in the event of a defective or non-conforming product remain unaffected.
Article 10 – Exceptions to the right to cancel
- The right to cancel is only excluded where an exception under the mandatory law of the United Kingdom applies and all the conditions applicable to it have been met.
- For digital content, digital software or a digital licence, the right to cancel may lapse once delivery has begun, but only if you expressly agreed to immediate delivery in advance, acknowledged that you would thereby lose your right to cancel, and received a confirmation of this.
- Merely downloading or activating digital content is not sufficient to exclude the right to cancel where these conditions have not been met.
- For sealed physical software or sealed data carriers, the right to cancel may be excluded once the seal has been broken, provided you were correctly informed of this before the purchase.
- A product that has been made to clear personal specifications may be excluded from the right to cancel where the product is as a result genuinely personalised and cannot readily be resold.
- A usual choice from standard options does not automatically make a product a customised product. This applies, among other things, to a standard choice of memory, storage, operating system, standard software or keyboard layout.
- For sealed products that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene, the right to cancel may be excluded once the seal has been broken, where the statutory conditions are met.
- A refurbished product, promotional product or discounted product is not excluded from the right to cancel solely because of its condition or price.
- Where an exception applies, this is clearly stated with the product or during checkout before the order is completed.
- An exception to the right to cancel does not limit your statutory rights where the product is defective, incorrectly delivered or does not conform to the contract.
Article 11 – Damaged, incorrect or incomplete delivery
- Report a damaged, incorrect or incomplete delivery as soon as possible via the returns portal of www.remarkt.co.uk and select the correct return reason. We ask you to do so preferably within 24 hours of discovery. A later report does not automatically mean that your statutory rights lapse.
- With your report, where applicable, include clear photos of:
- the product received and the serial number or service tag;
- the damage or discrepancy;
- the outside and inside of the packaging;
- the protective material used;
- the shipping label;
- the invoice, packing slip or other documents in the parcel;
- the accessories and parts received.
- Have you possibly received a product belonging to another customer? Then also keep the invoice, packing slip and other documents that were in the parcel.
- Do not use or share another customer's personal data. Send this information only via the returns portal or directly to our customer service.
- Do you find files or accounts belonging to someone else on a device you have received? Do not open or use them and contact our customer service immediately.
- Do not use, install or modify an incorrectly received product beyond what is necessary to establish that it is not intended for you. Keep the product, all accessories and the packaging.
- Do not use or charge a product with serious or potentially dangerous damage, such as damage to a battery, glass or electrical components. Contact us immediately for safe instructions.
- Depending on the situation, ReMarkt may send missing parts, repair the product, deliver the correct or a replacement product, refund the purchase amount or offer another suitable solution.
- A direct exchange without receipt and inspection of the original product is not possible.
- The necessary return and shipping costs for a damaged, incorrect or incomplete delivery are borne by ReMarkt.
- Your statutory rights in the event of a defective or non-conforming delivery remain unaffected.
Article 12 – Lost or delayed return shipment
- Keep the proof of postage and the tracking information until your return has been fully processed.
- In the event of a delay, first check the tracking information, whether the shipment was sent to the correct return address and whether the required export and customs documents were correctly included.
- Does the carrier indicate that your return has been delivered? Then it may take a further 24 to 48 hours before the shipment is registered in our system.
- Is a shipment stuck in transit or does it appear to be lost? Then, depending on the chosen shipping method, contact the carrier or ReMarkt.
- Did you choose your own carrier for a cancellation? Then you are responsible for the return shipment until it has been delivered to ReMarkt. In that case, an investigation or damage claim must usually be submitted to the carrier by you.
- Did you use a return label from ReMarkt? Then contact our customer service. We will check who commissioned the carrier and, where applicable, start the shipping investigation.
- Did ReMarkt arrange the collection or the entire return transport because of damage, an incorrect delivery or a valid warranty or conformity request? Then ReMarkt handles the investigation with the carrier. You must, however, be able to demonstrate that the product was sufficiently packaged and was handed over to the carrier.
- For an investigation, we may ask for the proof of postage, the tracking code, the dispatch date, the drop-off location, the parcel weight, photos of the packaging or a written statement.
- If ReMarkt has not received the return shipment and you cannot demonstrate that the product has been sent back, we may defer a refund on cancellation until the product has been received or the proof of postage has been provided.
- We advise sending valuable and fragile products with tracking and sufficient insurance.
- For pallet returns and other large or heavy shipments, the agreed transport order, the return instructions and the pallet policy apply.
- ReMarkt cooperates with an investigation, but cannot guarantee the handling time, outcome or compensation of an investigation by a carrier chosen by you.
Article 13 – Status and processing of your return
- After registering your return, you will receive an automatic confirmation. This means that we are aware of your request. Return requests are checked and approved on working days. You will then receive the return instructions.
- Does the carrier indicate that your return has been delivered? Then it may take a further 24 to 48 hours before the shipment is registered in our system. During weekends and public holidays, this may take slightly longer.
- After registration, we check the product, the serial number, the parts supplied and the return reason stated.
- We aim to handle and fully complete a return within 14 days of receipt and registration. In many cases this happens sooner.
- Processing may take longer if technical investigation is required, parts need to be ordered, the desired exchange product is not immediately available or additional information is needed. If handling takes longer than expected, we will inform you.
- In the event of a valid cancellation, we will refund the amount due as soon as possible and no later than 14 days after you notified us of the cancellation. We may withhold the refund until we have received the product or until you provide evidence that the product has been sent back.
- An exchange is usually processed within one to two weeks of receipt and registration. A direct exchange is not possible. Processing may take longer if the desired product is not immediately available or requires additional inspection.
- For a repair or warranty request, the product is examined technically. The processing time depends on the defect, the parts required and the available solution.
- First check the shipping status and the messages about your return request. Contact our customer service if:
- according to the carrier, your return was delivered more than two working days ago but has not yet been registered by us;
- you have not received a confirmation after registering;
- the processing period we indicated has expired;
- additional information or documents are required.
- When contacting us, always quote your order number, return number and, where applicable, the tracking code.
